VW DSG shift knob leathering machine

We have delivered and commissioned 2 pieces of VW shift knob leathering machine in November of 2015. These two machines (L/H and R/H) covers the shift knob side panels with leather for the VW DSG gearshift, designed and manufactured by TT ENGINEERING LTD. These automatic machines are pneumatic operated, and fully PLC controlled, with built-in GSM module via the machines can send messages to the service staff’s cell phone. These messages can be operating data or notification of a pre-scheduled maintenance job. Both of the machines have got a diagnostic socket for a pc via the service engineers can setup the machine’s operating values and parameters.

We took into account the latest European standards and design guidelines, during the design and manufacturing process and kept in mind the safety and technical requirements.

We asked an independent firm to provide a full and documented machine capability and security test on each machine as a part of the commissioning process. Both machines fulfilled all the industry requirements and get a 1 year validated certificate. This test must be renewed every year something like the MOT for cars.

With our design and individual solutions, we managed to decrease the production time by 20% that means 20% more product come off the machines. The machines reached the 20.000 piece of production these days meanwhile only 2% scrap is documented.

During the design process, we kept the construction cheap as simple as possible that provided an easy to maintenance machine that is very important in the car industry.

Both of the machines handed over with CE certificate, Hungarian Operators manual, service booklet, with exploded view drawings, service computer and service software.
